My research employs experimental and observational study methods to investigate the effects of landscape design on mental restoration.

Experimental studies

In my experimental study, I investigate how urban green spaces can promote mental restoration, with a particular focus on the elements of landscape design. To validate these findings, I construct virtual landscapes environments and assess participants' mental well-being using both objective and subjective measurements.

Observational studies

My observational research investigates the relationship between the spatial distribution of urban green spaces and mental health issues among urban residents. By analyzing geospatial data and utilizing a secondary health dataset, I explore the connection between neighborhood urban green spaces and the mental well-being of residents

Urban Heat Island Effect

Together with my co-author, we are engaged in an extensive investigation aiming to understand the ways in which urban green infrastructure can effectively mitigate the urban heat island effect. Our research delves into the multifaceted aspects of this phenomenon, seeking to uncover innovative solutions and strategies that can contribute to cooler and more sustainable urban environments.
